Assoc. Dr. Bal Koçyigit's research interests are in the field of building physics; Architectural Acoustics, Architectural Lighting, Biomimicry, and Energy Efficient Design. In this context, sound absorber materials, sound, and heat insulation materials, and material analysis, design, and analysis of environmental health and engineering nanomaterials (ENM) emphasizes the illumination of the environmental impact. In this context, the International Institute for Standards (ISO) TC43 Acoustic Presidency Delegation to Turkey, the Turkish Standards Institute (TSE) Acoustic Mirror TC43 Presidential Commission continues. At the same time, the Ministry of Environment and Urbanization Technical Expertise, Turkish Acoustic Association (TAKDER), Turkish Accreditation Agency (TÜRKAK) Technical Expertise continues. She is a member of the Acoustical Society of America (ASA), The International Institute of Acoustics and Vibration (IIAV). She had taken the Plaque Award because of Contribution for the enactment of the decree from Turkey Disabled Confederation.
Assoc. Dr. Bal Koçyigit is currently a faculty member at the Department of Architecture Acoustics (AYAL / https://www.atilim.edu.tr/en/yapiakustiklab) and GSTMF at Atilim University. Resources, Physical Environment Control (PEC) courses covering installation and fire safety issues. He has many national and international articles and international conference papers on energy and acoustics. She is also the author of books on the acoustic performances of educational buildings and conference papers. Elsevier (JESTECH), Journal of Scientific Perspectives (JSP), Journal of the Faculty of Architecture (JFA), The Journal of the Acoustical Society of America (JASA), International Congress of Sound and Vibration (ICSV), Cumhuriyet Newspaper, Science and Technology Journal. She has about 30 articles and conference proceedings. Acoustical Society of America 's acoustic properties of religious structures published in the article "World Wide Press" was accepted. In addition, Bal Koçyigit has been the referee of scientific international refereed journals such as Reviewer of Acta Acoustica with America (AAA), Building and Environment (UAE-D) and Journal of Art (JA). He has prepared a COST Action research project on the standardization of acoustic properties of education and health building structures.
